What a Feeling

Marie Theres (Caroline Peters) is a successful, high-strung doctor whose polished upper-class life in Vienna collapses when her husband unexpectedly leaves her on their 20th wedding anniversary. Devastated and seeking a distraction, she wanders into "Bigi's," a lively local lesbian bar, where she drowns her sorrows in drinks.

There she meets Fa (Proschat Madani), a confident, warm-hearted Iranian-Austrian carpenter who lives life on her own terms and avoids long-term commitments. Despite their radically different backgrounds, worldviews, and social spheres, an irresistible spark ignites between the two women. As their whirlwind romance develops, Marie Theres must navigate late-in-life self-discovery and family expectations, while Fa confronts her own deep-seated fear of vulnerability.
