🎬 Out at the Wedding

Alex (Andrea Marcellus) is a heterosexual Jewish woman living in Los Angeles who is engaged to her sweet but cautious fiancé, Jonathan (Charlie Schlatter). Nervous about introducing Jonathan to her traditional, opinionated Southern family at her sister Jeannie's (Desi Lydic) upcoming wedding in South Carolina, Alex hesitates to bring him along.

When Alex's best friend and roommate, Dana (Jamie Blake), a vibrant African-American lesbian, inadvertently leads Alex's family to believe that Alex is actually a lesbian—and that Dana is her partner—Alex panics and fails to correct the misunderstanding. Forced to keep up the charade during the wedding festivities, Alex travels south where her family surprisingly embraces her "coming out." The web of lies grows infinitely more complex when Alex meets Risa (Cathy DeBuono), a charismatic lesbian friend of the family, sparking unexpected feelings, comedic misunderstandings, and genuine self-discovery.
