The film follows Mary, a young woman who returns to her small Irish town after spending time in prison. She is loud, impulsive, and misunderstood — someone people label as “too much.”

Her best friend Charlene is getting married, and Mary becomes obsessed with one thing: finding a date for the wedding to prove she’s not a failure or outsider.

During this journey, she meets Jess, a quiet and sensitive musician. Their connection starts awkwardly but slowly grows into something real and meaningful — something Mary didn’t expect and doesn’t fully understand.
