🎬 Girltrash: All Night Long is the carefree, chaotic, and electric spirit of youth and self-discovery. Set over the course of one epic night in L.A., the film follows two rock-and-roll best friends, Daisy and Tyler, as they scramble to get to a "Battle of the Bands" contest. Along for the ride is Daisy’s younger sister, Colby, who is on a mission to finally hook up with her long-time girl crush.
The atmosphere is fast-paced, humorous, and unapologetically queer. It feels like a mix of Empire Records and The L Word, fueled by a catchy pop-punk soundtrack. The viewer feels the frantic energy of the characters' overlapping romantic mishaps, from unrequited crushes to messy ex-girlfriend encounters. Emotionally, it’s a celebration of belonging and being yourself, wrapped in a lighthearted package of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. While there are moments of vulnerability—especially regarding the fear of rejection—the film stays grounded in its "go for broke" attitude. It’s a joyous tribute to the messiness of young love and the bonds of friendship that keep you moving when your van breaks down and your heart is on the line.
