🎬 "Femme Fatale" begins with a legendary, near-silent 20-minute heist sequence at the Cannes Film Festival, where Laure Ash (Rebecca Romijn) pulls off a daring diamond theft involving a gold-clad model. But Laure isn't just a thief; she is a master of reinvention. After double-crossing her partners, she escapes to Paris, where a twist of fate allows her to assume the identity of a woman who looks exactly like her.

Years later, she returns to France as the wife of an ambassador, only to be photographed by a persistent paparazzo, Nicolas (Antonio Banderas). His photo threatens to shatter her new life and bring her vengeful ex-partners to her doorstep. The film is a fever dream of voyeurism and deception. De Palma uses split-screens, slow-motion, and a haunting score by Ryūichi Sakamoto to create a world where nothing is as it seems. It is a story about a woman using her sexuality and cunning to rewrite her own destiny, leading to a surreal and controversial climax that challenges the viewer's perception of reality. 🎬
