🎬 "Every Time a Bell Rings" (2021) is a story about the maps we leave behind for the people we love. Three sisters—Emma, Charlotte, and Nora—return to their hometown of Natchez, Mississippi, for their first Christmas since their beloved father passed away. Expecting a somber holiday, they instead find themselves thrust into a final gift from their father: a sprawling, town-wide scavenger hunt he designed before his death.

The film's emotional core is the rekindling of sisterly bonds. As they follow the clues, the sisters are forced to confront the different directions their lives have taken and the secrets they’ve been keeping from one another. It is a beautiful exploration of "living grief"—how we honor those we’ve lost by reconnecting with the living. Set against the picturesque, historic backdrop of Natchez, the movie captures the magic of small-town traditions and the realization that while the person who held the family together may be gone, the love they fostered remains the ultimate guide. 🎬
