👑 REVIEW: Camila Comes Out Tonight (2021)

My Take:
Camila is forced to move from liberal Buenos Aires to a traditional, private high school in a conservative neighborhood. But she isn't your average "new girl"—she’s a fierce feminist who wears her green scarf with pride and speaks her mind. In this stifling environment, she must navigate systemic sexism while exploring her own burgeoning sexuality. It’s a story about the fact that "coming out" isn't just about labels; it's about the radical act of standing your ground when everyone else is trying to pin you down.

What's Captivating: The raw energy. Nina Dziembrowski is electric as Camila. The film brilliantly captures how for Gen Z, identity and activism go hand-in-hand. The cinematography is gritty and intimate, making you feel every ounce of her frustration and triumph.

A Word of Caution: It’s intense. Dealing with themes of harassment and bullying, this isn't a glossy teen rom-com. Camila is a complex, sometimes abrasive protagonist, which makes her journey feel earned and real.

Verdict: 7.8/10 ✊🏳️‍🌈🇦🇷
A powerful, politically charged, and deeply human film. A must-watch for anyone who believes in the power of the youth.
