The European Film Academy has unveiled its guide to upcoming queer cinema events across the continent. 2026 features a rich program of premieres, independent screenings, and filmmaker showcases across dozens of European cities.
The schedule highlights established international events alongside regional festivals. Poland features prominently on the festival map, with the next edition of the LGBT Film Festival scheduled for April 10–18, 2026, running simultaneously across multiple cities—including Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz, and Wrocław—as well as online.
Key European Queer Film Festivals in 2026:
Spring: BFI Flare in London (March 18–29), Roze Filmdagen in Amsterdam (March 18–29), LGBT Film Festival in Poland (April 10–18), and Pink Apple in Zurich (April 25 – May 7).
Summer: FIRE!! Mostra in Barcelona (June 4–14), Zinegoak in Bilbao (June 22–29), and Queer Film Festival Utrecht (August 29 – September 5).
Autumn: Queer Lisboa & Queer Porto in Portugal (September/November), Iris Prize in Cardiff (October 12–18), MIX CPH in Copenhagen (October 30 – November 8), and QUEERTACTICS in Vienna (November 11–15).
