Europe’s Queer Cinema Capital: Hamburg International Queer Film Festival Returns This October

Germany’s oldest and largest LGBTQ+ film event, the Hamburg International Queer Film Festival (HIQFF), is gearing up for its 37th edition, taking place from October 13 to 18, 2026.
Gathering over 15,000 festival-goers annually, HIQFF continues to serve as a vital platform for radical, independent, and international queer filmmaking.
Festival Highlights:100+ Titles on Screen: Over six days, the festival will showcase a curated lineup of narrative features, documentaries, experimental shorts, and historical retrospectives.
Iconic Venues: Screenings and Q&As will span Hamburg's landmark independent cinemas, including Kampnagel, Metropolis Cinema, Zeise Cinemas, and 3001 Kino.
