Venla (Minna Haapkylä) is a thirty-something woman in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Antero (Kari-Pekka Toivonen). Venla is eager to have a child, but Antero, a dedicated speed-skating coach terrified of losing his freedom, secretly sabotages their attempts by getting a vasectomy without telling her.

Determined to get pregnant, Venla turns for help to Anita (Minttu Mustakallio), a female doctor working at a fertility clinic. As the two women collaborate to secretly secure donor sperm for Venla, their professional partnership quickly turns into a deep, unexpected romantic affair. Venla finds herself navigating a complex love triangle as she re-evaluates her desires, adulthood, and unconventional path to motherhood.
