Anarchija Žirmūnuose is a raw, character‑driven drama about a young provincial girl, Vile, who moves to Vilnius to pursue higher education only to find the realities of big‑city life far more confusing than she expected. In her search for affordable housing she meets Sandra, a bold, punk‑styled girl whose anarchic outlook seems to offer a way to break free from fear and conformity.

What begins as curiosity and friendship quickly becomes a confusing journey of self‑discovery. The film gently but powerfully captures the awkward intensity of youth, the struggle between idealism and reality, and the emotional turbulence of forging one’s own path—especially when the ideas you idolize don’t quite match the world you live in.

It’s a poetic, sometimes ironic look at freedom, belonging, and what it means to grow up in a place that feels both familiar and foreign
