Claudia (Lucia Mascino) and Flavio (Thomas Trabacchi) are two fifty-something university professors who spent seven years trapped in an intense, obsessive, and passionate relationship. When their relationship finally collapses under the weight of their ideological differences and emotional demands, Flavio manages to move on with surprising ease, quickly marrying a much younger woman.

Claudia, however, is left entirely unmoored, spiraling into a neurotic obsession over the breakup while attempting to analyze where it all went wrong. Supported by her close friend Diana (Carlotta Natoli) and embarking on a surprising, transformative connection with a younger female former student named Nina (Valentina Bellè), Claudia begins navigating the messy, liberating process of rediscovering herself outside of heterosexual romantic expectations.
