Director Paul Feig created a hybrid of a Gone Girl-style thriller and a campy comedy, where the electric dynamic between Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively steals every second of screen time.

The tension between the two leads is so thick it almost overshadows the mystery itself. It’s a film that isn’t afraid to be "too much"—colorful, cynical, and unapologetically bold.
