📌 Synopsis
Marina is a young transgender woman working as a waitress and an aspiring nightclub singer, deeply in love with Orlando, an older man who shares her life. When Orlando suddenly falls ill and dies, Marina’s world is upended. Rather than being allowed to mourn the loss of the man she loved, she is subjected to deep-seated prejudice, suspicion, and hostility from Orlando’s conservative family and local authorities. Stripped of her rights to attend his funeral or even say goodbye, Marina refuses to be erased, standing tall against institutional and social transphobia with unwavering grace and courage.
