“Get bit. Get even. Join the clique.”
VIBE CHECK:
Vampire Revolution / LA Neon Noir / Feminist Rage
THE PLOT (NO SPOILERS):
Laurel is a trans teen who moves to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start, but she finds something much deadlier. She falls in with a gang of intersectional feminist vampires who have one strict rule: No Men Allowed. Laurel must decide if she’s willing to trade her humanity for eternal life and a seat at the table of the most dangerous clique in LA. It’s a neon-soaked ride where the predators are the ones you’ve been rooting for all along.
WHY IT’S A MUST-WATCH:
NICOLE MAINES IS A STAR: Nicole brings a perfect balance of innocence and "don't mess with me" energy to Laurel. Seeing a trans protagonist lead a vampire flick without the story being only about her transition is incredibly refreshing.
DEATH TO THE PATRIARCHY: This isn't Twilight. These vampires use their powers to take down creeps and predators. It’s a revenge fantasy wrapped in a stylish horror shell.
THE LOOK: The film drips with LA cool—neon lights, sharp fashion, and a soundtrack that makes you want to go out and start your own coven.
TOP SCENE (TIP FOR REELS/TIKTOK):
The "Rules of the Coven" scene. When the leader, Duke, explains their philosophy while looking effortlessly cool. It’s the perfect "bad b*tch" energy for a viral edit.
