Laurel must decide if she’s willing to trade her humanity for eternal life and a seat at the table of the most dangerous clique in LA. NICOLE MAINES IS A STAR: Nicole brings a perfect balance of innocence and "don't mess with me" energy to Laurel. Seeing a trans protagonist lead a vampire flick without the story being only about her transition is incredibly refreshing.
DEATH TO THE PATRIARCHY: This isn't Twilight. These vampires use their powers to take down creeps and predators. It’s a revenge fantasy wrapped in a stylish horror shell.
